Shock Testimony: Did James Murdoch Lie To UK Parliament Committee?

Testimony today in a committee of the UK parliament contradicts earlier testimony from James Murdoch, the deputy COO of Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp. media empire. Former legal affairs manager for News Of The World Tom Crone testified that he was “certain” he told Murdoch about an e-mail that warned that hacking at News Corp. was widespread.
News Corp. initially claimed that a rogue reporter had hacked into the phones of celebrities, members of the royal family, and other news subjects. Later it was proven that the practice was widespread. [Guardian]
