Jon Hutt: Man Cut Off Toes With Pocket Knife After Foot Pinned

Jon Hutt cut off five toes with a pocket knife in order to extract his foot from under a trailer. He told the Associated Press, “It hurt so bad, I would cut for a while and then I had to rest.”

Hutt made the dramatic move when he feared he might die alone in the remote forest where he was picking up trees to use for fire wood. [AP]
