China is supposed to be the next global superpower, but it looks like they still fear American pop icons. The Chinese government posted a list of songs that must be scrubbed from music download sites because they do not have government approval. They include hits from Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, the Backstreet Boys and more.
China requires songs be screened in order to preserve “national cultural security.” [AP]
