Arthur L. Anderson, a 76 year old assistant scout leader in Indiana was fatally stabbed when his group stopped to identify a tree. Shane C. Golitko, a man living in the area, has been arrested. Golitko’s mother called police to say her son had assaulted her, stabbed two dogs – one to death – then walked on to the trail where Anderson was.
Golitko later led police on an 8 mile car chase. [AP]
