Mitt Romney has once again added more fuel to the accusation that he’s far too friendly to the sort of megabusiness that helped to tank the American economy. Appearing in Iowa ahead of the straw poll, Romney told a crowd that “corporations are people, my friends.”
Romney has tried to put his time at the head of Bain Capital behind him, as he and his cohorts at the firm squeezed profits out of businesses as they downsized them.
One of Romney’s Bain pals recently came under scrutiny when it was revealed that he had created a dummy business to funnel money into a Romney-affiliated PAC.
