Elizabeth Warren, currently building the newly formed Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), could run for a Senate seat. Roll Call reports that Warren recently had talks with members of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.
Warren could run against Tea Party favorite Scott Brown in Massachusetts. Republicans have opposed Warren being the permanent head of CFPB, due to her history of opposing the interests of the big banks — the same banks who helped cause the global economic meltdown.
