Research Finds Best Foods For Weight Loss, Worst Foods For Weight Gain

A study published in the New England Journal of Medicine has revealed what it found to be the best foods to help in weight loss and the worst foods that put on the pounds. The study, called Changes in Diet and Lifestyle and Long-Term Weight Gain in Women and Men used information from long-term government trials in order to come to its conclusions.

Worst Foods For Weight Gain
These are the foods the study found to be the most associated with gaining weight:
Potato Chips
Potatoes (French Fries were twice as bad for weight gain)
Sugar-Sweetened Drinks
Unprocessed Red Meat
Processed Meats

Best Food For Weight Loss
These were the foods most connected to weight loss from people in the study:
Yogurt
Nuts
Fruits
Whole Grains
Vegetables
