Ron Paul, the longshot libertarian candidate for the Republican presidential nomination, is attempting to raise funds by taking direct aim at the supposed frontrunner, Mitt Romney. Paul’s “moneybomb” aims to scare up cash by opposing “Romneycare,” the health care plan passed by Romney while he was governor of Massachusetts.

In recent months Romney has run away from his achievement, as it is considered by many to be the foundation of the national health care plan passed by President Obama. That health care plan, though it appeals to many Democrats and independent voters, is highly unpopular with Republican base voters.
