It has now been learned that the proposed anti-union policies being pushed by Wisconsin governor Scott Walker are in response to a fake crisis Walker himself created. According to reports, Walker, a tea party affiliated Republican, plotted all along to bust his state’s unions and found a way early into his tenure.

After he was elected, Walker engineered the passage of tax cuts through the state’s heavily Republican legislature. These tax cuts led to the supposed shortfall in the state’s budget. In fact, the state is projected to end the year with a small surplus.

Using this false pretext, Walker is now trying to slash the collective bargaining rights of unionized state workers – despite their stated willingness to negotiate with the government. Instead, Walker has continued to pursue his union-busting agenda.

In response, Wisconsin citizens – including thousands of teachers that are part of the targeted unions – are staying in the state capital building until the extremist legislation is dropped.
